Jodie Popple

Jodie is a highly experienced cyber resilience specialist with a proven track record of helping organisations strengthen their defences and reduce operational risk. She has led a wide range of initiatives, from immersive crisis exercises to large-scale security training programmes, equipping teams with the skills and confidence to respond effectively to key threats.

Her career and client experience spans both public and private sectors, including law enforcement, healthcare, financial services, and critical national infrastructure. She played a pivotal role in launching the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre—a not-for-profit partnership between policing, academia, and industry—where she was instrumental in stakeholder engagement and management.

Jodie’s expertise covers the full cyber security landscape, from emerging threats and attack techniques to the potential business impacts of cyber incidents. She holds certifications in CISMP, Neurodiversity, Level 3 Teacher Training (PTTLS), and Springboard (Women’s Business & Personal Development).

Notable achievements include leading substitutability and customer treatment strategy programmes for a major retail bank, recommending innovative solutions and priority actions to ensure operational continuity during crises or technology failures. Jodie also has designed and delivered Operational Resilience scenario testing programmes in the financial services sector, enabling banks to meet regulatory obligations and strengthen resilience, as well as developing training to support a smooth transition to internal business-as-usual operations.

At Beyond Blue, Jodie serves as lead in crisis exercising, designing and delivering realistic, AI-enhanced simulations for clients across financial services and critical national infrastructure. She works closely with clients to identify critical assets, build impactful scenarios, and guide operational, strategic, and technical teams through live exercises. Her actionable post-exercise reports enable organisations to measurably strengthen their security posture and resilience.
