Alicia Waite

Alicia has experience in numerous industries, including technology, manufacturing, energy, and retail, but most of her experience and interest is in financial services. Alicia has helped deliver operational resilience, cyber and privacy programmes for global banks, insurers, investment managers, oil and gas giants and national governments, as well as advising and exercising Boards and Senior Management on cyber and technology crisis response and recovery.

Before joining Beyond Blue, Alicia assisted Executive Committees across numerous global organisations, helping them respond to and recover from significant cyber crises, including ransomware and data breaches. Her expertise has helped senior leaders understand the unique attributes of a cyber crisis, advising on internal and external communication strategies and their approach to operational recovery, focused on getting organisations back on their feet, protecting customers, and mitigating the impact on long-term reputation. 

Prior to specialising in operational resilience, Alicia worked with clients on a range of cyber and privacy projects. As part of a regulatory-mandated cyber transformation programme, she helped deliver a target operating model and employee training and awareness. She also assisted an insurance client with a GDPR implementation programme focusing on data mapping and identifying critical data points.

In response to the increasing threat against critical national infrastructure and industrial control systems, Alicia assisted a global oil and gas company in an innovative 4-year programme to identify and protect their critical assets whilst maturing their response and recovery capability in the event of a catastrophic cyber event.
