Nicola has served as a role model for the UK Cyber Security Council as part of its 2025 Strategy and was featured in a published case study promoting industry professionals while encouraging sector-wide engagement. She has presented internal project ideas on emotional intelligence and personal resilience awareness to executive boards within the cybersecurity industry, aiming to enhance human responses to crises.

She also played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of tailored cyber exercises, assessing the potential impact of simulated cyber incidents and analysing organisational responses. Her collaboration with cross-functional teams involved designing realistic scenarios that addressed specific client challenges, and tailoring these scenarios with credible, realistic injects. Nicola’s contributions extend to post-exercise reporting by capturing key findings and providing actionable recommendations demonstrating a proactive approach to improving clients' preparedness for evolving cyber threats and strengthening their cyber resilience. 

Nicola has extensive experience in conducting data protection reviews, with a focus on analysing and enhancing data security practices. She has conducted detailed assessments of clients’ data landscapes, evaluating processes and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data. Nicola has a strong understanding of UK and global data regulation laws, applying this knowledge to ensure compliance and align data management practices with regulatory requirements. She has also demonstrated the ability to translate complex regulatory and technical requirements into actionable recommendations, contributing to the successful implementation of data protection measures.

With a background in managing high-pressure teams and maintaining strict data confidentiality standards, Nicola was part of the NHS workforce recognised with the George Cross for service during the pandemic. She holds several industry-recognised certifications, including GFACT and GSEC, and has completed advanced SANS cybersecurity training (SEC401 & SEC275).
